Dove Tile Award

Inspired by Melissa

Hey K.C.,

I just wanted to tell you what a blast the race was. I loved it and it has inspired many to get out and run, walk or do whatever makes you feel good. I enjoyed seeing everyone out there in the meadow walking, running and smiling. Hats off to everyone involved.

Thanks again, K.C.

All Ran Smoothly by Renee and Shawn

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for all the enthusiam and effort today! I agree with Kelli, all ran smoothly today and everyone enjoyed the event.

We will also send a thank you momento to all of our sponsors. A suggestion was a picture from the event, if someone has digital image suggestions please forward to me. I will put some examples together and review with this team.

We are looking forward to next year's 5K!

Congratulations

KC – Congratulations on doing an amazing job with the 5K run. You had a beautiful day, great turnout, the course was well-marked and challenging (I use that term loosely), and there was plenty of support along the way. I think/hope you met your fundraising goal for this event. Everyone had a great time. Nicely done!

Lise

PS Consideration for next year -- you may want to add just a few more hills to the course. J

Great Work Everyone by Kelli Scarlett

Great work everyone! I don't think I have ever seen a first year event go so smoothly! Results are up on the web site and the site now reflects our post race status and thanking the sponsors! Please send me any photos you would like me to put up.

Thanks to all - good work!

Peace, Kelli

Pleasure to Participate by Andrew Bright

Scott

Thanks for your kind words - it was a pleasure to participate in the run for peace. KC had a fantastic idea and pulled together a great team; being able to play a small part in the team was really rewarding.

For the Brights the first year as part of the BFS family was great, the chance to participate in the run for peace was a wonderful way to round out the first year and start the second -taking part in the one mile run with Jacob and all the other kids was a real highlight.

best wishes
andrew

To the Run for Peace Committee

To the Run for Peace Committee,

I just wanted to send you a quick note to express my thanks and congratulations on the terrific job you did with the 5K race. The event was a great success, and I have no doubt it will grow into the future. Your commitment, hard work, and energy did not go unnoticed, and the school and its students have benefitted greatly from all you did. I know that many others helped as well, but you were the core that kept it moving. Thank you again. I hope you all get a well deserved break this weekend. You earned it!

Yours,

Scott

Race Day Captured by Denise Sorin

Hello all!

I wanted to share a few comments with you that I heard before, during and after the race....

Beautiful course
Breathtaking
A perfect balance between nature and fitness. It made me feel complete.
Very well organized.
Great Shirts
Very well marked
I never knew this was back here!
Maybe I'll become a runner.
I'm going to train for next year.
Brutal hills
Demanding course-really great
Magnificent Tiles for the Finishers
So cool that all the kids got hand-made medals. So unique.

And I have to say, everyone came in smiling (well at least after they crossed the finish).

Thank you for letting me be part of the team-it was an honor.

-Denise
